About the Role
Assistant Advancement Manager (Trusts & Foundations) responsible for managing a portfolio of trusts and foundations to secure philanthropic income supporting Sussex 2035. Working closely with the Senior Advancement Manager, research, coordinate, write and submit proposals, produce reports and other stewardship for existing donors. Lead development of project proposals and applications with academic and professional services staff to build compelling narratives tailored to funders. Build cases for key flagship projects and match new funding prospects to these initiatives.
About You
* Educated to degree level or have relevant working experience.
* Self‑directed with a positive, entrepreneurial approach to fundraising.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Able to work to tight deadlines.
* Familiar with the UK Higher Education sector and the Raiser's Edge CRM.
* Willing to support colleagues and contribute toward fundraising plans.
Division
The CEA division contributes to Sussex’s success through partnership with academic schools and other institutions, advising on Institutional Growth Strategies and nurturing alumni relationships.
