They are investing heavily in their technology function and are now looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to take ownership of front-end delivery across their customer-facing platforms. You will work collaboratively with Product, UX, and wider engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-performance e-commerce solutions, ensuring best practice across code quality, performance, and security. You will also play a key role in shaping engineering processes, improving ways of working, and helping to evolve the front-end architecture as the platform continues to scale. Software Development Manager - essential skills Proven experience as a Software Development Manager, Engineering Manager, Team Lead, or similar Strong e-commerce experience, ideally within online retail or high-traffic transactional platforms Solid background in JavaScript and Node.js development Experience leading and mentoring front-end engineering teams Comfortable balancing people management with hands-on technical leadership Exposure to modern front-end frameworks such as React (or similar) Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code is highly desirable To be considered Please either apply through this advert or email me directly via roisin.marsh@searchability.com.
