Customer Delivery Driver - Newmarket Extra
Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with flexible options for those who prefer 12 hours. Availability windows are in place and you will receive three weeks’ notice of your shift schedule. We support flexibility – if your times are close but not exact to advertised windows, we still welcome applications.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the van and trays are clean, tidy and organised.
* Leave the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish; pick up litter as needed.
* Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
* Check van roadworthiness and load the van as required.
* Communicate changes to customers (short codes, substitutions) and offer refunds for items that cause dissatisfaction.
* Treat products and deliveries as if they were your own.
* Explain to the customer that they will not be charged any more for substitutions.
* Deliver during the customer's time slot.
* Call the customer before arriving if arriving early.
* Call the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.
Qualifications
* Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit.
* Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues.
* Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store.
* Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations.
* Share ideas with the Manager and other colleagues to improve store service.
* Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
