Grounds Maintenance Operative Ware £12.71 per hour 6-week contract starting 1st June Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pm Friday: 7:00am – 3:30pm About the Role We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established grounds maintenance company looking for a reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to join their team in Ware on a 6-week contract starting 1st June. This role would suit someone with experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, gardening, estate maintenance, outdoor maintenance, or similar hands-on outdoor roles. Candidates from gardening services, horticulture, facilities maintenance, environmental services, or agricultural backgrounds may also have transferable skills. What You’ll Do Grass cutting and lawn maintenance Using strimmers, hedge trimmers, mowers, and other grounds maintenance equipment Hedge cutting and general upkeep of outdoor spaces Keeping parks, commercial grounds, and public areas tidy and presentable Carrying out routine outdoor maintenance duties Working as part of a team across different sites What We’re Looking For Full UK driving licence Experience using strimmers, hedge trimmers, mowers, and similar equipment Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Reliable with a good work ethic Able to work safely and efficiently as part of a team Who Might Suit This Role This position could suit someone who has worked as a Groundsworker, Landscape Operative, Gardener, Estate Operative, Groundskeeper, Landscaping Labourer, Horticultural Operative, Maintenance Operative, or Outdoor Services Operative. Applicants with experience in construction labouring, farming, tree surgery support, caretaking, or property maintenance may also have relevant transferable skills.
