About the Role
* Spend approximately 70% of your time in the field, assisting ecologists with planning and conducting ecology surveys, including protected species and Phase 1 habitat surveys
* Collate, analyze and present data, using biodiversity metrics to assess loss or gain and bat sound analysis
* Input data into technical reports and deliverables such as licence method statements and management plans
* Work outdoors in remote locations, all weather, with some evening and away-from-home commitments
Requirements
* Appropriate Degree in Ecology or a related discipline (CIEEM accredited preferred, postgraduate welcome)
* Qualifying member status with CIEEM or eligibility for membership
* Attention to detail, analytical skills, and understanding of wildlife legislation and ecological survey methodologies
* Experience with spatial data and GIS mapping
* Full UK valid driving licence (not always required)
* Demonstrable ecological survey skills
* Excellent communication skills, able to work independently and as part of a team
