The Customer Solutions function serves as a business consultancy, leveraging extensive knowledge of supply chain and freight forwarding to develop excellent solutions for our customers. We are passionate about supply chain and industry advancement through technology and digitization and are seeking a Solutions Development Manager to elevate our efforts. The successful candidate will develop, position, and demonstrate product-specific solutions during sales and consultative cycles, supporting the Customer Solutions and Account Management teams to deliver compelling value propositions to our strategic customers.
Purpose
This role involves working with Customer Solutions & Account Management to identify, develop, and deliver compelling value propositions with supporting resources for new and existing highly strategic customers. For existing customers, the focus is on developing strategic partnerships through win-win joint initiatives to build long-term relationships.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
* Support the proactive qualification of opportunities with Commercial and Key Account teams.
* Participate in RFx processes requiring strategic solutions input and development of value proposals.
* Maintain and develop a pipeline of strategic customers, ensuring engagement and converting interest into business relationships.
* Manage projects from qualification to proposal delivery, including positioning and discussions with customers in a consultative manner.
* Support the development and evaluation of Metro’s value proposition to ensure market alignment.
Other Responsibilities
* Serve as SME for all Metro MVT Products, demonstrating products and gathering feedback.
* Identify new functionalities and features based on customer engagement and market insights.
* Manage projects for new Purchase Order Management awards from demo to execution.
* Identify continuous improvement opportunities through data and engagement, supporting execution.
* Collaborate with Supply Chain Engineers to build a pipeline of Customer Analytics & Insights.

* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, PowerPoint).
* Good networking skills and team orientation.
* Process mapping experience.
* Interest in technology and digitization within supply chain.
* Supply Chain Management experience.
* Strategic sales skills.
Education
* Undergraduate Degree in Business Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management (preferred).

* Comfortable communicating at all levels, including Board level.
* Analytical skills or understanding of data.
