Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Barrhead
To perform maintenance functions at manufacturing facilities located in Barrhead; coordinate, assist, and perform equipment maintenance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Work with leadership, production associates, and supervisors to improve efficiencies.
2. Perform regular checks on production equipment.
3. Lubricate and check all motors daily or as required.
4. Ensure boiler is maintained appropriately.
5. Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance Program.
6. Install, repair, and program machines and equipment.
7. Maintain critical inventory levels of parts and equipment needed for production.
8. Keep the maintenance shop and work areas clean and organized per GMP/ISO requirements.
9. Work with management to determine and address maintenance needs.
10. Assist in problem diagnosis and confer with outside representatives as needed.
11. Support production and product handling when necessary.
12. Participate in facility remodeling projects as a resource.
13. Contribute to departmental goals through self and team involvement.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Journeyman Millwright or third-year apprentice preferred, with 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including knowledge of PLCs.
2. Skilled in electrical, electronic test equipment, mechanical and production equipment repair, operating procedures, plumbing, use of power and hand tools, HVAC.
3. Preferred certifications include stainless steel welding, boiler operations, and knowledge of OSHA regulations and PLC skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Manufacturing environment with exposure to powder mineral products, chemicals, restricted movement, dirt, hazardous materials, and heavy lifting.
