About the Internship
The Baker Hughes Internship is designed for students pursuing a Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree or recent graduates to gain hands‑on work experience within the Wireline sector. You will collaborate with scientists, electrical, mechanical and software engineers to develop the next generation of downhole tools. The role focuses on modelling, simulating and analysing data from sensor technologies, including rock formation imaging and the inspection of metal tubulars inside oil and gas wells. Results will optimise sensor design, drive experimentation and deepen understanding of sensor response under varying conditions.

Key Qualifications / Experience Required
* Working toward a BEng / MEng in Physics, Maths or an Engineering degree
* Academic Qualifications – A or A* at A‑level (or equivalent), including Maths and/or Physics
* For graduates, a 2:1 or higher in a Physics, Maths or a Mechanical / Aero Engineering degree
* Prior experience in MATLAB, ANSYS and/or COMSOL Multiphysics is desirable
* Prior experience with 3D CAD tools is useful
* Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
* Highly motivated, self‑starting approach with a desire to learn new skills
* Be able to legally work in the country that you are applying in, without company sponsorship or time restriction
