Charity Jobs NI, part of the Happy Jobs group, is partnering with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful to recruit a proactive, organised, and dedicated Local Environmental Quality Coordinator. This role involves coordinating and managing environmental quality and certification programmes within the LEQ department, working closely with the Local Environmental Quality Manager, and supervising departmental officers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage resources and deliver programme outputs effectively within budget and deadlines.
2. Lead planning, implementation, and reporting of environmental initiatives.
3. Coordinate certification programmes such as Blue Flag, Green Flag, and conduct cleanliness surveys.
4. Develop community participation in sustainability initiatives and promote award programmes.
5. Act as the primary contact, respond to technical enquiries, and represent the charity at events.
6. Support research and policy analysis related to environmental sustainability.
7. Manage stakeholder communications and assist in marketing efforts.

Qualifications & Experience:
* Essential: Relevant third-level qualification or three years' equivalent experience; at least 1 year in surveying/auditing; 2 years in programme delivery; 1 year staff supervision.
* Desirable: Experience in data collection, analysis, reporting, voluntary sector, or local government roles.
Skills & Personal Qualities:
* Strong ICT skills (Microsoft Office).
* Full current driving licence and access to transport.
* Understanding of environmental issues; desirable: behaviour change principles.
* Effective independent and team working abilities; excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
Additional Requirements:
* Occasional travel within Northern Ireland; flexibility for occasional outside office hours.
* Hours: Flexible between 8am - 6pm; core hours 10am - 4pm, Monday to Friday.
Salary: £30,328
Contract: Permanent (subject to funding)
