GSL Education are recruiting a confident and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher for a long-term position at a supportive primary school in Brighton. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school community that values creativity, consistency, and high standards of teaching.
About the Role:
You’ll be leading a KS2 class with full teaching responsibilities, helping pupils reach their academic goals through well-structured lessons and a positive learning environment. You will work closely with colleagues to share ideas, track progress, and maintain a cohesive approach to teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
* Encourage active participation, independence, and a love of learning
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement
* Create a warm and respectful classroom culture where all pupils feel included
* Liaise with staff and parents to support pupil development and wellbeing
* Take part in whole-school activities, staff training, and collaborative planning
Job Requirements:
* Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Experience teaching in a Key Stage 2 setting
* A clear grasp of the national curriculum and effective teaching methods
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Passionate about making a difference in children's lives
* Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
