We’re looking for a Buyer to join a growing manufacturing business based in Tipton. This role reports into the Operations Manager and is open to people from all backgrounds who have experience in manufacturing procurement and international sourcing.

About the Role
You’ll manage the procurement of materials, components, and services to support the manufacture of construction-related products. The focus is on continuity of supply, value for money, and compliance, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers in the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Source and purchase materials, components, and subcontracted services for manufacturing operations
* Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with suppliers
* Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to meet operational needs
* Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to ensure materials meet quality and technical requirements
* Create and manage purchase orders, pricing, and supplier data using Sage 200
* Manage international purchasing, including customs documentation, duties, VAT, and Incoterms
* Track spend, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure procurement activities meet health & safety, ethical sourcing, and regulatory standards
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working in a Buyer or Procurement role within a manufacturing environment
* CIPS Level 3 or equivalent practical procurement experience
* Strong working knowledge of Sage 200
* Experience with import/export processes and customs documentation
* Experience sourcing construction or building-related materials
* Strong communication, organisation, and negotiation skills
Desirable Experience:
* Project-based or make-to-order manufacturing environments
* Understanding of UK construction standards and regulations
