Product Developer (Qualifications & Assessment) – Remote

Salary: £36,000 – £40,000
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Chorley, 2–3 times per month)

About the Job

As a Product Developer, you will lead the design, development, and enhancement of qualifications and assessments across a diverse portfolio. Working closely with Subject Matter Experts and internal teams, your role will ensure that qualifications are robust, compliant, and aligned with industry and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop qualifications that meet regulatory, employer, and industry needs.

*

Collaborate with SMEs to shape content, assessment models, and standards.

*

Manage qualification development projects, including timelines, budgets, and delivery milestones.

*

Produce high-quality documentation including assessment strategies, centre guidance, and sample materials.

*

Analyse data and product performance to inform improvements and innovation.

*

Identify opportunities for new products in emerging skills sectors.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

*

Experience in qualification or assessment development, preferably within an awarding body or EPAO.

*

Strong understanding of assessment design principles and Ofqual regulatory requirements.

*

Proven project management skills (APM-PMQ or PRINCE2 desirable).

*

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.

*

Analytical skills to review product effectiveness and suggest improvements.

*

Confidence working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

*

A proactive, adaptable approach and a passion for quality and innovation.
