Reporting to the Head of Technical, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a pro-active approach to the key responsibilities below.
Applicants will need to demonstrate an understanding of the Section 38/278 and 104 Process along with a good level of engineering knowledge, including a working knowledge of NHBC Standards and service infrastructure requirements.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage the adoption process and chair the required meetings with the relevant authorities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide engineering support across departments, attending design, pre-start, and site progress meetings.
2. Commission, review, and check surveys, reports, and design solutions for roads, sewers, drainage, and proposed levels to secure technical approvals.
3. Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and compliant with planning, Building Regulations, and NHBC/LABC standards, while identifying value engineering opportunities.
4. Coordinate and administer utility disconnections, diversions, new service connections, and final surfacing works.
5. Manage S38/278 and S104 agreements, sewer requisitions, adoptions, and associated bonds, including POS transfers and management company handovers.
6. Undertake regular site visits to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, standards, and health & safety requirements.
7. Support procurement by assisting with service quotations, design information, and monitoring design programmes.

8. Education in construction or engineering-related disciplines.
9. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), with strong IT skills.
10. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
11. Self-motivated, dependable, and collaborative, with strong problem-solving abilities.
12. Approachable, hands-on attitude, committed to embodying company values of Trust, Teamwork, Kindness, and Passion.
13. Full UK driving licence.
