Sanctuary Lodge £29,000 - £30,000 per year (DOE)

Monday to Friday with one weekend per month (1 weekend in 4 with allocated days off during the week)

Main duties of the Therapist:

* Contribute to assessments of clients within agreed timescales.
* Deliver therapeutic support through group-work sessions and one-to-one interventions.
* Contribute to regular reviews of the client with probation and health workers.
* Counsel individuals about their substance use.
* Help individuals address their substance use and offending behaviour.
* Maintain records of client attendance and participation in the group programme.
* Explore, implement, and supervise a range of approaches, activities, and exercises designed to promote health and support individuals through detoxification/stabilisation.
* Ensure all administration, case recording, written reports, etc., are maintained accurately.
* Participate in activities and tasks that directly respond to client needs, where required.
* Safeguard clients at all times and follow all safeguarding procedures.
* Level 4 or higher qualification in Counselling or equivalent.
* Minimum of one year experience of direct client work and facilitating group therapy.
* Experience developing and delivering therapeutic support programmes.
* Experience providing direct client services, particularly assessment & group-work.
* Flexible, open approach with proven communication skills in managing sessional staff, volunteers, and clients.
* Experience working in partnership with statutory and non-statutory agencies.
* Proven planning and administration skills.
* Willingness to develop treatment programmes to suit client needs.
* Understanding of quality standards, performance monitoring, and statistical data collection for purchasers.
* Knowledge of health and safety, including assessing high-risk situations for clients.


The Recruitment Process:

* Initial phone conversation with a talent acquisition specialist for an informal chat and questions about the role.
* If successful, undertake an interview on-site or via video conference. A second-stage interview may be required later at the centre.
* Candidates will be notified of success within 5 working days post-interview.
