As our Fire Safety Manager you’ll be advising and supporting the business in the specialist area of fire safety, ensuring compliance with current and future fire safety regulations.
You will oversee the delivery and quality of suitable and sufficient fire risk assessments and monitor the delivery and quality of those completed by our approved contractors.
You’ll lead the team of fire safety professionals, ensuring they are delivering a trusted advisory service in all areas of fire safety management. And you’ll provide assurance to the business on fire related inspections, assessments and investigations of fire safety incidents.
Your responsibilities in role will include:
* Managing the compilation, delivery and quality of the Fire Risk Assessment programme
* Ensure any contractors are managed in line with Aster’s procedures
* Establishing and monitoring the delivery of the Fire Risk Assessment programme, influencing specific projects
* Supporting with regular audits and reconciliation of data within our systems
About you
You’ll come to the role with a Level 4 or above fire safety management discipline qualification and will be educated to degree level or be able to demonstrate relevant experience in a related technical role.
You will have significant experience in fire safety ideally within the housing sector.
You will be a member of the Institute of Fire Managers or equivalent.
You’ll have demonstrable experience in the planning, setting and monitoring of significant works budgets, alongside effective contract and performance management.
You will be confident in your leadership style, with experience of leading a team of professionals on a day to day basis.
This role is a hybrid role, you can base yourself from home but travel will be required across our operating region on a weekly basis so being happy to travel is a must.
Our operating region includes Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and London.
