Overview

We are seeking a driven and commercially focused Territory Sales Manager to develop and grow distributor and end-user business across a defined territory.

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for the East Midlands, Southeast, and international market segments for key accounts and new business development. Servicing our existing customer base across manufacturing and MRO industries, as well as key accounts and opportunities on a global scale.

This role is responsible for achieving sales targets through strategic account development, distributor engagement, and technical sales support within OEM and MRO markets.

The role will be home-based, though a successful applicant will need to travel frequently, meeting key accounts and manufacturers wherever they are based across the defined sales territories.

This role offers significant sales development with territory managers getting to meet manufacturers and operators across the entire manufacturing industry, meeting customers in the Oil & Gas, Food, Glass, Marine & Port, Textiles and Maintenance industry segments. As the role expands, opportunities to engage with the global market and overseas customers will become available, meaning this is an excellent opportunity for a Sales Manager looking to expand their industry experience on a worldwide scale.

Key Responsibilities

As the territory sales manager, you will handle the following key responsibilities:


Territory & Sales Growth

* Deliver agreed sales targets by developing new distributors and end-user business
* Manage a defined territory based on postcode, region, or market segment
* Identify and convert new business opportunities while maintaining existing accounts
* Build strong relationships with key decision-makers to drive long-term growth
* Drive sales performance through distributor branch engagement
* Deliver product training and joint sales activities with distributor teams
* Support merchandising and point-of-sale initiatives
* Develop strong relationships with distributor personnel at all levels
* Support trade shows, open days, and exhibitions
* Communicate product updates, pricing, and company initiatives
* Monitor and develop key distributor branches


OEM / MRO Account Development

* Identify, develop, and close new production and maintenance applications
* Maintain and grow existing business in both value and volume
* Provide technical support and application expertise to customers
* Coordinate visits with internal technical and commercial teams
* Maintain customer stock levels and secure forward schedules where possible
* Ensure regular engagement with all relevant stakeholders within key accounts
* Execute structured call plans for key accounts


Experience

A successful applicant will need to offer proven experience in territory sales, ideally within industrial, lubricants, or technical products. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of industry sales experience.

As a predominantly customer-facing role, you will need to exhibit strong relationship-building and account management skills, having the ability to deliver technical sales solutions and presentations.

A strong applicant needs to be well self-motivated with strong organisational and planning abilities, able to operate independently and arrange their calendar effectively to ensure they are meeting regular targets and are operating efficiently.

The role necessitates having experience and being comfortable working independently within a structured reporting environment.

A willingness to travel, including overnight stays and occasional international travel, will be essential, as a global business, Molyslip serves customers across the market, reaching from across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Though the Territory Sales Manager will largely operate within their defined sales territory, travel outside of this territory will be expected, especially as the role expands.


Performance & Development

Performance will be measured against sales targets, activity levels, and pipeline development. Territory Managers will receive regular reviews covering opportunities, projects, and customer engagement.

Compensation & Benefits

Successful applications will find a competitive salary, with the final amount being determined by both experience and performance. We also offer a structure targets based bonus scheme, ensuring that strong sales work is rewarded and that members of our team are fairly compensated for their contributions to the overall Molyslip business.

We offer a standard of 25 days of annual leave, as well as public holidays, ensuring there is plenty of R&R in between the exciting sales work. We also offer an additional discretionary holiday buy scheme allowed team members to buy an additional 1-5 days of extra holidays (subject to the business needs)
