Role Overview
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Group Sales Director will have end-to-end accountability for sales performance across Passenger and Commercial Vehicles, including brands such as Ford, BYD, OMODA|JAECOO, Maxus, and Used+. This role demands a visionary leader to drive sustainable growth, navigate the EV and new-energy transition, and ensure sales operations are primed for a fast-evolving digital market.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Own and execute the Group Sales Strategy, driving growth in volume, profit, and customer base.
- Financial Stewardship: Hold full P&L responsibility, including budgeting and reforecasting.
- EV Transition: Lead the response to the EV/new-energy shift, ensuring teams are trained and targets are met.
- Sales Channels: Manage all sales channels, integrating digital and showroom journeys.
- Used-Car Strategy: Develop and deliver the used-car strategy, with accountability for stock mix, sourcing, and margin.
- OEM Relationships: Maintain senior OEM relationships to influence allocation and support.
- Team Development: Lead, coach, and develop sales leaders and teams, fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.
- Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with legal, regulatory, and OEM requirements.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience: Proven track record in owning a sales P&L for a divisional or multi-site portfolio in automotive retail.
- Leadership: Multi-site leadership experience with Group or Board-level exposure.
- Performance: Strong history of delivering volume and profit across New and Used vehicles.
- OEM Partnerships: Senior experience with OEM partners across multiple brands.
- Digital Savvy: Proficient in using digital tools and data analytics to drive performance.
