How you will create an impact
Focused on FI PI, FI D&O, and Commercial D&O, you will be responsible for a portfolio of high-value, complex claims from coverage inquiry through legal liability assessment and quantum analysis, to timely and accurate resolution.
Your goal will be timely, accurate, and customer-focused claim resolution, minimizing indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expenses. You will actively promote and demonstrate the principles of 'Treating Customers Fairly' in claims handling.
You will communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders as our technical claims expert and thought leader.
As a senior team member, you will act as a deputy for the Team Manager, provide training, and serve as a technical referral point for colleagues.
You will also contribute to continuous improvement in Claims by supporting Quality Assurance and Regional Audit processes, ensuring mitigation of indemnity and expense exposure, and communicating developments and outcomes to all key stakeholders.
What you’ll need to succeed
* Advanced knowledge of legal, regulatory, and litigation procedures for Financial Lines
* Experience in negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and ADR skills on higher-value complex claims
* Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy interpretation
* A proven track record of effectively following up on recommendations from technical claims audits and improving file handling processes
* The ability to influence stakeholders to effectively direct claims strategy
* The ability to assist with technical training for claim handlers as required
