Job Role - Redcar and Cleveland Boroughs Children's and Families Team
Location - Redcar and Cleveland
Redcar and Cleveland Boroughs Children's and Families Team is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families in their community. They are committed to providing high-quality services that promote the well-being and safeguarding of children, ensuring they have the support and resources they need to thrive.
They are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Worker to join their Children's and Families Team. As a Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in assessing and addressing the needs of children and families, working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to provide effective support.
Key Responsibilities
Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks of children and families
Developing and implementing care plans that promote the welfare and best interests of children
Collaborating with other professionals, such as health practitioners and educators, to ensure a holistic approach to support
Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as required
Providing counselling and guidance to children and families, advocating for their rights and facilitating access to appropriate services
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures
Collaborating with external agencies and community resources to enhance support networks for children and families
Requirements
Social Work qualification and registration with the appropriate regulatory body
Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding
Strong assessment and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies governing child welfare
Commitment to continuous professional development
