About the Role
Advantage NRG is seeking Linesmen Erectors to join our team. As a Linesman Erector, you will play a vital role within a dynamic team, working closely with your Chargehand to ensure your team performs effectively while prioritizing Safety, Quality, and Productivity. This position offers opportunities for career development within our organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work as part of a team to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient repair, maintenance, and installation of overhead power lines.
2. Maintain high standards of work from start to finish.
3. Focus on productivity and meet client deadlines.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization across the site, including welfare facilities and vehicles.
5. Operate various plant equipment relevant to the Overhead Line (OHL) industry.
6. Engage with site operatives to foster a positive working relationship.
7. Follow instructions from Supervisors and Client Engineers.
8. Address simple rigging and mechanical issues within Work Instructions and Method Statements.
9. Conduct daily inspections of PPE and fall arrest equipment.
10. Perform tower rescue procedures confidently when necessary.
Additional Responsibilities
1. Install, repair, and maintain overhead power lines.
2. Adhere to Permit to Work and Limited Access Certificate procedures.
3. Ensure availability of necessary tools, equipment, and PPE.
4. Report PPE or fall arrest equipment defects to Supervisors and Management.
5. Participate in toolbox talks and daily site assessments.
6. Immediately report hazards or incidents to your Supervisor, including injuries or environmental damage.
7. Use the NRG H&S App to report hazards, kudos, and defective equipment.
8. Report unsafe tasks or lack of training to your Supervisor and Management.
9. Train and supervise less-experienced team members.
