Your Role as a Secondary Special Education Teacher
* Collaborate and Support: Work with team members, paraprofessionals, and parents to foster an inclusive environment.
* Lead and Teach: Provide classroom leadership and teach multiple subjects based on student needs.
* Ensure Student Well-Being: Maintain confidentiality and manage challenging behaviors with appropriate support plans.
* Monitor and Advocate: Track student progress and advocate for their rights and needs, especially those with disabilities.
* Create Positive Learning Spaces: Build engaging classrooms where all students can thrive.
Role Requirements
* Must hold an active PA teaching certification (Private Academic Certificate, Level I or II Pennsylvania Instructional Certification).
* All teachers must have their PA teaching license in place by August 1st.
* Must have authorization to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.
