Overview
We are seeking to appoint an efficient and self‑motivated Midday Assistant. The role reports to the Lunchtime Co‑ordinator and operates under the overall authority of the Headteacher, supervising pupils during the lunch break at Gatley Primary School.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and play games with children in playgrounds or classrooms during wet weather.
* Assist in the development of good table manners.
* Ensure children in the dining area behave in an orderly manner, providing productive and engaging activities.
* Supervise corridor area, toilets, and other facilities.
* Assist generally with occurrences arising until school recommences for the afternoon session, including basic first aid in accident cases and sickness.
* Support children calmly with any challenges, helping development socially and emotionally.
