About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, your responsibilities will include planning and implementing activities that delight our Residents, helping the Home Manager organize fundraising events, and encouraging Residents to socialize and engage in hobbies. You will do so with a sense of kindness above all else.
We are looking for someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programs. Your positive energy, ability to get along with people, planning, organizational, and IT skills are essential. You should be considerate and kind when communicating with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional role-specific training. You should also be able to seek advice and report concerns appropriately.
We’ll provide full training, and in return, you will enjoy a variety of benefits supporting your well-being, including:
* Hourly rate subject to experience and qualifications.
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Nutritious meal during shifts of eight hours or more
* Company pension scheme
* 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
* Group life assurance cover
* Wagestream - flexible access to pay
* Learning and development opportunities, including qualifications
* GP online service for round-the-clock GP consultations
* Support from experienced colleagues in a committed team
* Colleague discounts at over 1600 high street stores
* Employee Assistance Programme offering support for physical, mental, and financial issues
* Recognition schemes such as ‘Kindness in Care’ and Long Service Awards
* Refer a Friend scheme with rewards up to £1000 per referral
We are committed to inclusivity and encourage applicants from all backgrounds. We aim for a quick turnaround from offer to start date, supporting you from day one.
