Job Description:

Competitive salary, negotiable depending on your experience and expertise.

Are you ready to bring your HR expertise to a role where your skills and unique perspective can make a lasting impact?

We are seeking an experienced People Experience Assistant Manager to join our growing team in London. As a successful candidate, you are motivated and passionate about working with people. You take pride in delivering high-quality work and enjoy working with people.

What Sets Us Apart

At MHA, we’re about people first – our people, our clients, and the communities we serve. As one of the UK’s top 13 accountancy firms and a proud member of Baker Tilly International, the 9th largest network in the world, we are a hub of global knowledge with a strong local commitment.

Our people-focused approach truly sets us apart. Here, you won’t just be another face in the firm; you’ll be part of an ambitious, driven team dedicated to continuous learning and growth. We invest in our people because they are the foundation of our success. With access to unparalleled resources and award-winning development programmes, you’ll have the freedom to shape your career while making a meaningful impact. We take immense pride in being awarded gold for Investors in People. This recognition reflects our deep commitment to nurturing talent and ensuring every individual feels valued and supported.

Here, You’ll Shape More Than Careers

We’re looking for a talented People Experience Assistant Manager who thrives in a people-focused environment and sees challenges as opportunities for growth. At MHA, you’ll work alongside passionate professionals who care about making a difference. Your role in HR will be far more than policies and procedures; it’s about creating an inspiring workplace culture, fostering individual growth, and implementing strategic initiatives that drive meaningful, lasting impact across our team.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

* Experience in a management capacity in a fast-paced HR Co-ordinator/advisory role, operating to strict deadlines and handling conflicting priorities.
* Ability to travel across offices, including London, Colchester, Maidenhead, and Maidstone.
* Professional services experience (desirable but not essential).
* Willingness to ‘muck in’, assist as necessary, and carry out routine tasks when required.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* The ability to handle a heavy workload with minimal supervision.
* Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at an intermediate level, for producing letters, spreadsheets, and organisation charts.

In this role, you’ll make an impact by:

* Contributing to the HR strategy aligned with the firm’s Business Plan, supporting areas such as Resourcing, Compensation and Benefits, Learning and Development, and Employee Relations.
* Attending and contributing to HR planning and review meetings.
* Taking direction on projects and priorities from the Senior HR Manager to ensure timely delivery within resources.
* Proactively managing, monitoring, and reviewing HR processes and recommending actions.
* Meeting regularly with Engagement Partners and People Operations Partners to provide HR updates.
* Preparing and presenting HR reports to the Head of HR Operations and relevant management.
* Keeping abreast of employment legislation and advising on implications for HR policies.
* Contributing to the development of HR policies and practices based on industry developments.
* Supporting firm-wide communication of HR updates and policies.
* Providing consistent advice and ensuring understanding and adherence to HR policies.
* Consulting with staff as necessary.

This list is not exhaustive; the postholder may undertake other duties as directed by their line manager.

Rewards That Resonate

We value your unique talents and aspirations. Our benefits support your well-being, professional growth, and recognition:

* Agile Working: Flexibility with core hours from 10 AM to 2 PM and two days of remote work.
* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with options to buy or sell up to 5 days.
* Competitive salary package.
* Employee recognition awards, including Outstanding Performance Bonus.
* Supportive succession planning and management programs.
* Employee Assistance Programme: 24-hour confidential support, including counselling and virtual doctors.
* And many more benefits!
