Collingwood College is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative and inspiring Head of Film and Media Studies to lead and further develop this highly successful and popular department.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

1. Lead and manage Film and Media Studies across KS4 and KS5
2. Teach Media Studies and/or Film Studies at GCSE and A Level
3. Line manage and support colleagues within the department
4. Drive high standards of teaching, learning and assessment
5. Contribute to whole‑school improvement and leadership as a TLR holder
6. Inspire students through creative, relevant and engaging learning experiences

Applications are welcome from experienced middle leaders and ambitious teachers ready for career progression. Returners to the profession are encouraged to apply.

The Department

7. Film and Media Studies is a high‑performing area of the College, offering:
8. GCSE Media Studies and Film Studies
9. A Level Media Studies and Film Studies
10. BTEC Creative Media Production (Post‑16)
