The Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is part of the wider Habit Health Group, providing confidential services to employees across work/life issues. Our Auckland Henderson office is seeking an empathetic, experienced Counsellor for a full‑time permanent role, Monday to Saturday availability, ensuring consistent service throughout the week.
Responsibilities
* Deliver focused interventions so clients ace coping mechanisms at work and life.
* Visit worksites to provide support after an event disruption.
* Provide counselling services via in‑person, video and telehealth.
* Deliver training to customer employees.

Ideal Candidate
* Strong sense of others – sensitivity and empathy as traits.
* Current APC with NZAC, DAPAANZ, SWRB or NZCCA.
* Tertiary level 7 Counselling or related qualification and minimum of five years of post‑study experience in general counselling required.
* Knowledge of evidence‑based therapy models (SFT, CBT, FACT) desirable.
* Can work independently and attend on‑site for psychological first aid.
* Experience in trauma intervention, psychological first‑aid.
