Key Requirements: Qualified real estate finance lawyer with 7 years PQE (post-qualification experience). Experience working for or advising real estate investment and asset management companies, developers, banks, and alternative lenders. Strong knowledge of real estate finance transactions across various asset classes, including Build-to-Rent (BTR), Senior Living, and Student Accommodation, logistics, retail, and office spaces. Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating a wide range of financing agreements, including facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, development funding agreements, and bridging or mezzanine finance arrangements. Familiarity with structuring and financing large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments, including cross-border transactions. Understanding of real estate investment structures, including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, forward funding, and sale-and-leaseback arrangements. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to real estate finance, such as anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions compliance. Ability to provide commercially focused legal advice and manage complex transactions independently.
