Bring your IP Network Engineering skills, along with a wider infrastructure engineering and Operational Technology skillset, to innovate and automate, taking us to the next level.
This is an opportunity to be forward-thinking, applying existing ideas or relishing research and implementation.
Our network is 10 years old, stable, and evolving without legacy issues. We have built a full fibre network of 14,000 km that transports data for 140,000 customers. With a customer growth rate of 40% annually, we plan to upgrade our core to 1.2 Tb/s early next year.
You will own the technical strategy, roadmap, and budget. You will also lead and manage teams including Network Architects, Designers, Engineers, Transmission, and IT Operations.
Note: this is a hybrid role, with at least one day a week based at our Head Office in Abingdon, Oxon.
Previous experience with large carrier and FTTP/FTTH infrastructure is beneficial but not essential. What matters most is senior-level IP network engineering knowledge and the ability to lead teams and align with business goals. A passion for using technology to deliver outstanding customer experience is key.
While technology is important, building strong relationships with stakeholders and demonstrating effective leadership that aligns with our values and culture is equally vital. The customer always comes first.
