Position: Junior MIG Welder
Location: Daventry
Salary: - £13.20 per hour
Hours: 8am - 4pm with 30 mins unpaid lunch (37.5 hours per week).
My client is currently seeking a Junior MIG Welder to join their specialist team. The successful candidate will need basic experience of MIG Welding. A weld test will be carried out at interview stage.
Junior Mig Welder Job Overview
Operate fabrication equipment including sizing machines, rolling machines, seam welders, and presses.
Participate in on-vehicle development work, using vehicle lifts to trial and adjust prototype systems in situ.
Contribute to the design and fabrication of prototype and production tooling to support manufacturing and testing.
Work closely with engineering and design teams to iterate and develop functional prototype parts.
Inspect components for dimensional accuracy and overall quality throughout the build process.
Junior Mig Welder Job Requirements
Basic expertise in MIG welding, ideally with stainless steel and titanium.
Skilled in hand-forming and sheet metal development, particularly in low-volume, prototype, or motorsport environments.
Comfortable working from verbal briefs and minimal documentation.
Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to producing aesthetic, high-integrity welds and components.
Full, clean UK driving license.
