Job Summary
Lead the planning and delivery of national and international tours, managing productions, partnerships and logistics to bring ambitious dance‑theatre work to audiences across the UK and beyond.
Role Description
Shaper/Caper is seeking an experienced and dynamic Artistic Producer to lead the planning, production and delivery of its national and international touring programme.
Based in Dundee, this is a pivotal role working closely with the Artistic Director and Senior Leadership Team to realise ambitious dance‑theatre productions and expand the company’s reach and impact.
You will oversee all aspects of production and touring, from early‑stage development through to performance delivery. This includes securing touring opportunities, co‑productions and partnerships; negotiating contracts; managing budgets, schedules and logistics; and ensuring productions are delivered to the highest artistic and operational standards.
The role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery. You will develop touring strategies, build relationships with venues, festivals and partners, and identify opportunities to extend the life and reach of productions. You will also play a key role in fundraising, financial planning, and reporting, ensuring the sustainability of the companies artistic programme.
As a central collaborator, you will support the Artistic Director’s vision while acting as a key liaison across creative teams, venues and stakeholders. You will bring strong organisational skills, financial confidence, and a proactive, solutions‑focused approach to managing complex projects and touring logistics.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi‑award‑winning company at a transformative moment, as it moves into a new dedicated studio space and continues to grow its national and international profile. The role suits a highly organised and collaborative producer who is passionate about creating high‑quality, socially engaged work and bringing it to diverse audiences across the UK and beyond.
