Based just outside Chichester, this role is office-based and ideal for someone who enjoys routine, takes pride in accuracy and wants to be part of a business that values sustainability and community.You’ll work closely with a hands-on and supportive Finance Manager, gaining exposure to a wide range of tasks across the month-end process. The company is growing steadily and offers the opportunity to make the role your own.Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Performing daily bank reconciliations
* Managing and reconciling card transactions
* Raising and posting purchase ledger invoices
* Preparing accruals and prepayments to trial balance
* Monitoring the finance inbox and assisting with ad hoc tasks
* Supporting credit control and resolving queries
What you will need:
* Previous experience in a similar role, such as Assistant Accountant / Senior Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant / Finance Administrator / Accounts Officer / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Sales Ledger Clerk
* To be methodical, well-organised and proactive
* Confidence using Excel (including VLOOKUPs) and familiarity with finance systems such as SAP
