The works are located on the M4/A4 corridor around Brentford. The activities will primarily take place during daytime hours under static traffic management.
The scope of works includes the installation of temporary works scaffolding to the viaduct piers. Following this, saw cutting will be undertaken, along with hydro-demolition of concrete to remove defective material. The works will then progress to carrying out the necessary repair works, including concrete repairs to reinstate the affected areas of the structure.
Main Duties:
* Management of site staff, operatives and sub-contractors.
* Provide method statements, hazard risk assessments and Project Management plans.
* Understand tender allowances and monitor contract loss against agreed budgets.
* Preparing and monitoring programmes of work.
* Foster good relations and reputation with clients.
* Manage design co-ordination.
* Assessment and engagement of sub-contractors.
* Manage contracts to ensure timely and profitable completion of contracts.
* Supervise, mentor and assist in the career development of junior staff.
Are you the person we are looking for?
The ideal candidate will have strong programme and contract management experience, particularly with NEC contracts, and hold a CSCS Gold Card, SMSTS certification, and Temporary Works Coordinator qualification. A degree qualification and Incorporated membership with the ICE would be advantageous.
The role requires solid technical capability, including NEC contract knowledge, experience with Microsoft programmes and applications, and an understanding of temporary works coordination. Equally important are strong people skills, including the ability to build effective teams, communicate clearly, actively listen, collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders, resolve conflicts where necessary, and demonstrate persuasion, influencing ability, reliability, and professionalism in delivering project objectives.
