Client Development Manager – Legal
Liverpool (Hybrid)
Up to £65,000 DOE plus performance related bonus
Re-Culture are partnered with a leading UK law firm with a long established reputation across insurance, litigation, public sector.
The firm are well known for a collaborative culture and long term client relationships, alongside serious investment in strategic client development.
The firm's client generator programme is continuing to experience growth, therefore they are looking to hire an experienced Client Development Manager to help manage and protect some of their most valuable insurance focused client relationships.
About the role
This is a senior position that is predominantly internal-facing, and you'll be working cosely with senior CRPs and the wider Business Development and Marketing team.
You are responsible for driving structure, discipline and momentum across a portfolio of high value Generator clients, ensuring account plans are robust and Partners are well supported to deliver an excellent client experience.
Own and drive strategic account planning for Generator clients, working closely with CRPs
Coaching and supporting Partners to adopt best-practice client relationships
Become the central point of coordination for bids, tenders, pitches and presentations for Generator clients
Use market intelligence and client insights to enhance interactions with clients
Correctly utilise the CRM for accurate reporting
Design and deliver value-added client initiatives alongside Partners and Marketing
Build and maintain relationships with key external introducers
Create quarterly and annual reports for senior leadership teams
Share learnings and best practices across client teams to help improve future client development activities.
About You
We are looking for an experienced client development professional who is comfortable operating at Partner level and enjoys influencing without formal authority.
You will ideally have:
Minimum 5 years' experience in business development or client relationship management within a law firm or legal professional services environment
Experience managing strategic or key client programmes
Ideally a strong understanding of insurance clients (highly desirable, but not essential if you have a strong legal background)
Confidence working with senior stakeholders and challenging constructively where needed
Excellent organisational, project management, and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A proactive, structured, and resilient approach
Experience using CRM systems (system-agnostic; training provided)
Please note: sales-focused backgrounds will not be considered.
Based in Liverpool, with a hybrid working model
Typically 2 days per week in the Liverpool office (Tuesday is a key team day)
Flexibility to work from home the remaining days
Occasional travel to other offices or client sites as required
