This is an exiting opportunity to lead a growing team of 5+ depot staff at Alliance Tool Hire Bristol. You would hold overall responsibility for customer relationships, manage the hire fleet (small tools focus), and run depot operations, including health & safety, and transport.
Key responsibilities
* Maintain long term relationships with customers, based on excellent service, to ensure we are their go-to supplier
* Develop new business based on your own network and with sales reps
* Manage your hire fleet, including directing your dedicated fitter team, to ensure equipment is available when required
* Manage your driver team and oversee their delivery schedule to ensure that customers receive equipment when needed, and off hires are prompt
* Ensure that health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
* Coach your team and create a positive working environment
Skills and experience
* At least 5 years of experience managing a tool hire depot in the Bath or Bristol area
* Experience managing teams of 4+ people
* Very good knowledge of core tool hire equipment and small plant
* Experience with lifting equipment hire is a plus
* Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and grow customer accounts
* Demonstrated operational discipline; you like to maintain a tidy depot, your stock checks are up to date, and your paperwork is immaculate
