About the Role
Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in education? We are seeking a passionate Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a primary school setting. This role is an excellent opportunity for those considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN support.
You’ll be working closely with the class teacher, providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs such as SEN, SEMH, and behavioural challenges, while also helping with academic interventions in literacy and numeracy.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN, EAL, or behavioural needs
* Assist in implementing strategies to support emotional and social development
* Deliver literacy, numeracy, and phonics interventions
* Support behaviour management and promote a positive classroom environment
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and outside agencies to meet pupils’ needs
* Act as a positive role model and encourage independence

Requirements
* A degree in Psychology (or related field)
* Strong interest in child development, SEN, or educational psychology
* Empathy, resilience, and excellent communication skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Previous experience with children (school, tutoring, youth work, etc.) desirable
