The role of Facilities Accommodation Team Leader plays a key part of accommodation services. The successful candidate will work with the accommodation team and be responsible for the supervision of accommodation service assistants.
Facilities Accommodation Leader may be required to support cleaning tasks at times of low staffing or increased demand. They are also responsible for receiving and delivering cleaning materials to the accommodation facilities, and therefore candidates for this post are required to be physically fit.
Core Working Hours
Full time, 37.5 hours, working 08:00‑16:00 Monday‑Friday, may include bank holidays.
Within your contracted hours of work, you may be required to support in covering for other Facilities Team Leaders from time to time, depending on service requirements.
Enhancements for night time, bank holiday and weekend work are offered as part of this role.
Main duties of the job
The Right Candidate
It would be advantageous if you have worked in a busy NHS setting or have experience in a cleaning or hospitality role. Our preferred candidate would have some previous experience in team leading or supervising staff.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience of working with computer systems, including Microsoft Office, various IT packages and web‑based systems.
* Experience of first‑line management.
* Experience of National and NHS legislation and guidance relating to cleaning standards and/or Food Hygiene Regulations.
* Experience working with a diverse range of staff.
* Understanding of sickness absence management.
* Good understanding of customer care.

* Evidence of the ability to plan and prioritise work to meet own and department deadlines.
* Ability to undertake duties without supervision.
* Ability to team‑lead a team.
* Effective communication skills.
