About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering accurate and timely regulatory reports in accordance with MiFID requirements. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a regulated financial services firm, supporting the business in meeting its prudential and conduct regulatory obligations.

There will be lots of value add work to get involved in with key accountabilities including:

1. Preparation and delivery of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS).
2. Prepare quarterly MiFID and IPRU-INV reporting submissions for relevant entities across the Group
3. Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and assess the impact on existing reporting processes.
4. Identify and implement improvements in financial reporting processes, automation, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
5. Assist in the development and implementation of controls and processes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of regulatory returns.
6. Work closely with Risk, Compliance, and Capital teams to gather required inputs and ensure alignment across regulatory frameworks.
7. Support internal and external audits related to regulatory reporting.
8. Assist in the automation and improvement of reporting processes and systems.

15. Maintaining appropriate level of technical skills for self
16. Delivering adhoc tasks/projects when required.

About you

We'd really like you to have:

17. Financial reporting experience and production of statutory accounts
18. Experience with MiFID and IPRU-INV reporting.
19. Proficient in Excel and experience working with large data sets.
20. Understanding of the UK regulatory landscape.
21. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
22. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
23. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

You will be comfortable,

24. Working flexibly with some time required at the office
25. With occasional travel to other Nucleus business locations as needed
