Allwyn UK is part of Allwyn Entertainment Group – a multi-national lottery operator with a market-leading presence in Austria, the Czech Republic, Greece, Cyprus, and Italy. Purpose of Role:
* Within their designated region, field-based security investigators are responsible for the investigation of assigned security incidents in response to reactive complaints from players and retailers; incidents derived from the proactive data-mining of retail and CIP (UPAM) data; and reports of criminal / adverse activity by retailers; including non-compliance to Allwyn's mystery test shopper programme
* All investigations are to be logged and completed using the case management system and where necessary, escalated in accordance with the Allwyn suspension and sanction process
* Investigators are also responsible for provision of detailed evidence and expert support to law enforcement / government agencies; the prevention of fraud and internal investigations within Allwyn.

* The Security function brings together specialist knowledge, skills and experience to keep Allwyn operating securely.
* Through our key security services, we work with the business to protect our people and key assets, and maintain the overall integrity of the National Lottery.
Team Description:
* The Protective Security Team safeguards the security and integrity of The National Lottery through its activities to prevent, detect and deter any potential threat activity.
Key Accountabilities or Duties:
* Diligently and expeditiously investigate, resolve and report on assigned incidents within agreed timescales by interviewing retailers and / or players, or making contact with the police or other law enforcement agency as appropriate.
* Visit retail outlets and liaise with proprietors in order to pursue player complaints and to uphold the integrity and security of The National Lottery. Take appropriate and justifiable action as required; such as identifying relevant facts, securing essential evidence, providing advice and guidance, serving formal written notices to suspend, or terminate, the Retailer Agreement and uplifting all Scratchcard stock.
* Speak with, and where appropriate visit, Players and record details of complaints and available secure evidence to support any allegation(s).
* Specifically, investigate all High-Tier Prize Claims involving Retailers / PTP, Damaged Tickets and Tickets subject to anomalous scanning activity (as per CORE-P18-W004). Secure all available material in an effort to confirm or disprove the claim and enable a management decision on prize payment.
* Visit and inspect Retailer premises where required, to ensure compliance, combat fraudulent activity, sales to/by minors and ticket cancellation errors, and to provide security or procedural advice as necessary.
* Prepare detailed investigation reports presenting facts, circumstances and conclusions to support management decisions regarding any sanctions or corrective action.
* Gather, analyse and prepare Allwyn data into detailed statements of evidence, with associated exhibits, for police and other law enforcement agencies.
* Where necessary deliver formal evidence at court or other formal proceedings in relation to those statements and National Lottery matters.
* Identify and contribute to the implementation of continual process improvements related to investigating and managing product and service incidents within the team.
* Provide National Lottery and investigative advice and guidance to the Retail Sales Execs / Managers based in their Region when required.
* Provide cover for other field-based Security Investigators when required
* Where appropriate assist in the drafting, amendment and maintenance of current investigations related policies and procedures.
* Where necessary assist the office-based staff with internal investigations involving interaction with staff and departments, as requested by People, Legal or an Executive Director.
* Provide 24-hour security/investigation on-call facility on a weekly basis at regular intervals.
* Support media conferences for High-Value Winners; to maintain the safety and security of all parties and protect the anonymity of the Winner before the press conference and their privacy after the event.
Skills & Experience:
* At least five years’ experience of working in a regulatory/ legal / enforcement environment.
* At least two experiences of conducting investigations.
* Strong ability to present and clearly defend findings and recommendations of investigations; strong organisational and analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to work independently and manage challenges.
* Ability to identify investigative issues and customize, implement/execute solutions
* Ability to write detailed, accurate complex investigative and business correspondence and present information.
* Ability to use the relevant Allwyn databases and systems.
* Ability to analyse, interpret and make use of information to assess the potential for abnormal activity in operational activities and to detect and prevent fraud.
* Knowledge of lottery security procedures, retailer responsibilities and the Standard Retailer Agreement.
* Knowledge of the Game Rules and Procedures, terminal messages and terminal activity reports.
* Knowledge of all relevant Allwyn policies.
* Knowledge of under-age play and excessive play strategies.
* Awareness of police procedures and legal requirements in statement taking and evidence gathering.
* Knowledge of winner validation processes.
* Awareness of personal security measures.
* Awareness of physical security measures.
* Must be able to drive.
