SUMMARY
Lystek is seeking a full-time CAD Designer and BIM Specialist to assist in the design, management, and construction of projects. The Designer will assist Lystek’s Engineering and Projects team to deliver process, mechanical, electrical, and civil drawings while managing a collaborative BIM workspace. This position reports to the Projects and Engineering Manager.
This position is well suited to an individual who wants to utilize their design talent and experience to execute fast paced construction and technology installation projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Complete design and drafting for facility design and equipment layouts using REVIT 3D, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD software Includes Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Mechanical Layouts, Electrical Layouts, and Site Plans
2. Manage the BIM design collaboration workspace for internal and external use
3. Manage Lystek’s equipment block library
4. Contribute to the ongoing development of Lystek’s design standards
5. Complete as-built drawing packages for Lystek installations
6. Integrate 3rd party drafting works into Lystek designs
7. Complete quality control of equipment layout designs and service routing
8. Stay up to date with industry advancements including new software releases and emerging design best practices
WORKING CONDITIONS:
9. Fast-paced work environment, typically on large, complex projects
10. Working primarily in an office setting as well as occasional visits to project sites
11. Exposure to operating wastewater treatment plants, waste management facilities, and construction site environments in all seasons and weather conditions
12. Travel expenses paid by employer
EXPERIENCE & POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The following qualifications are required for this position:
13. Proficiency with REVIT 3D CAD software
14. Proficiency with Civil 3D CAD software
15. Proficiency with AutoCAD software
16. Proficiency with Plant 3D CAD software
17. Proficiency using BIM Collaborate
18. Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud (or BIM 360)
19. Strong knowledge and understanding of industrial equipment and equipment package design
20. Excellent communication and organizational skills are mandatory
21. Thorough attention to detail
22. Strong knowledge and understanding of industrial process design
23. Proficient and professional in oral and written communication
24. Valid full G class driver’s license
25. Willing to work in a team environment utilizing effective interpersonal skills with various levels within the organization and external stakeholders.
