A rare and exciting opportunity has become available at Lookers Colchester Land Rover as a New Car Sales Manager. As Sales Manager for our New Car function, you will act as a role model for customer service excellence, always leading by example. You will develop long-lasting, meaningful relationships with our customers and coach and motivate the team to do so too. You will report to the General Manager.

You will oversee the day-to-day running of the showroom, including vehicle valuations and sales; supervising the vehicle journey from workshop prep through to imaging and showroom presentation. You will work alongside the divisional buyer, dedicated prep technicians, detailers, and photography team to deliver marketing standards.
1. Managing the full sales process, from web inquiry to phone & showroom
2. Managing staff performance through structured 1-to-1s, training, and development
3. Implementing department targets and brand KPIs
4. Responsible for buying vehicles and maintaining up-to-date stock pricing
5. Ensuring full FCA compliance within the Sales Department
6. Managing and owning customer satisfaction
You will have prior experience in a similar premium automotive environment with a proven track record in transactional sales and delivering exceptional customer service experiences. You will demonstrate experience in leading a highly motivated team and know how to get the best out of each team member.
Experience monitoring financial performance against budget and the ability to address shortfalls promptly is essential. You should understand finance and insurance product regulations and possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate sales. A full UK driving licence is also required.
