Bridgend | £50,000 5% Bonus | Hybrid | Heavy Machinery Are you an Electrical Engineer who loves getting hands on, solving real problems and seeing your designs come to life on the shop floor? Do you enjoy working on heavy duty machinery or military grade equipment? If so, this role will suit you perfectly! This organisation is a global leader in designing and manufacturing heavy duty vehicles and systems that keep businesses moving. This isnt aerospace its aero tech; real world engineering where your work has immediate impact. They are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer who can combine strong technical design skills with a practical, production focused mindset. What Youll Be Doing Designing and developing wire harnesses and electrical systems for heavy duty equipment Working closely with production teams on the shop floor to resolve issues, support builds and ensure manufacturability Creating and updating electrical schematics, harness drawings and documentation Supporting prototype builds and troubleshooting electrical issues Collaborating with mechanical, manufacturing and supplier teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions Ensuring designs meet safety, quality and industry standards Playing a visible, hands on role in the full product lifecycle from concept to production What Were Looking For 3 years experience as an Electrical Design Engineer Wire harness design experience Background in heavy machinery, off highway vehicles or military equipment Comfortable working on the shop floor and building strong relationships with production teams Practical, hands on problem solver Confident communicator who can work across engineering and manufacturing Desirable skills Experience with CANbus / J1939 Exposure to controls, embedded systems, or vehicle electrics Experience in construction machinery, agricultural machinery or similar sectors Why Join Salary £45,000£50,000 5% profit related annual bonus (extremely lucrative) Hybrid working available Flexible hours between 7am5pm, Monday to Friday Work on real, heavy duty equipment where your designs make a visible impact Be part of a global engineering group with strong investment and long term stability Hands on, varied work not a desk only design role Lots of opportunity for progression and development Who This Role Suits This is ideal for someone who: Loves practical engineering Wants to be close to production, not hidden behind CAD all day Enjoys solving problems in real time Has worked on vehicles, machinery, or military systems Wants ownership, visibility and variety Interested to know more?
