Paralegal Contract Type Permanent Working Pattern Full time Working Hours 35 hours per week Salary £33,681.76 Per Annum Location Options Birmingham with part of the week working from home Function Type Legal We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Paralegal to join our Legal and Enforcement Team. The role Legal and Enforcement makes decisions to refer individuals and/or firms to the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal (SDT) and handles subsequent disciplinary actions. Other key functions of the team include: conducting appeals, giving legal and technical advice to other areas of the SRA and the conduct of litigation. You will assist the department in delivering on a range of legal matters and key tasks. From instructing and liaising with external panel solicitors and counsel, performing legal and records research, reviewing and drafting documents, to having strong financial discipline including handling cost estimates and processing payment and managing cases outsourced to panel firms. You will enjoy a varied role working closely with solicitors and barristers in the team to assist in the effective delivery of the team's objectives. You will also be supporting our external panel solicitors in the management and progression of high profile and complex cases. As a self-starter, you will quickly become self-supporting and will be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Close attention to detail, proficient analytical skills, the ability to work flexibly, and effective and robust communication skills, together with excellent drafting skills, are of utmost importance in this role.
