Sir Robert McAlpine has secured a prestigious contract to construct a state-of-the-art Battery Manufacturing Facility. The initial phase of the project includes the design and construction of a new 15GWh lithium-ion battery facility, ancillary buildings, and site-wide external works.
The Role
This Package Manager role will oversee work packages within the infrastructure team as part of our £800m project. Reporting to the Infrastructure Project Manager, you will manage trade-contractor packages, leading engineers and subcontractors to deliver the project safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities
* Take ownership of your package, ensuring all works are planned, safe, and organized.
* Promote safety leadership and ensure safe work practices.
* Plan and oversee logistical requirements, liaising with the Works Manager and Logistics Contractor.
* Create short-term programmes and phase plans to ensure timely delivery.
* Monitor progress, performance metrics, and report trends and implications.
* Collaborate with the infrastructure team and consider the big picture.
* Ensure technical compliance with contract documents, specifications, and drawings.
* Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans.
* Conduct quality inspections and manage technical submittals and RFI requests.
* Ensure scope and subcontract requirements are met, understanding SRM obligations.
* Record key events and promote the SRM Build Sure culture.
Candidate Profile
* Strong leadership skills
* Experience managing multi-million-pound building projects
* Knowledge of infrastructure and civils works
* Experience with pumping stations, storage tanks, deep excavations, water management, earthworks, culverts, and drainage
* Familiarity with utilities civils works: water, sprinkler mains, HV, LV, and data
* Experience with NEC contracts and managing warnings and compensation events
* Good knowledge of construction products, regulations, and standards
* Familiarity with construction software (FieldView, 4P, Dalux, Asta) is desirable
