About the Role:
Are you passionate, motivated, and seeking a new challenge? Do you have experience or qualifications in Engineering? As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we invest in our people across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Engineer to join our Engineering Team at our Brackley site.
You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment, which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas, manufacturing short shelf-life products where hygiene standards are critical. As a Graduate Engineer, your working hours will be Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00.
What will you be doing as a Graduate Engineer at Avara?
You will have engineering responsibility for an area within the operational environment as the Asset Manager. Your role includes monitoring equipment downtime, analyzing trends to drive continuous improvement, and leading reliability initiatives and projects.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing all equipment in your assigned area
* Maintaining high reliability and availability of factory equipment through effective planned maintenance
* Gathering and analyzing equipment efficiency and downtime data to drive improvements
* Raising planned or reactive maintenance jobs
* Reviewing completed job sheets
* Producing downtime data for weekly meetings
* Leading and supporting installation and capital projects
* Collaborating with colleagues, suppliers, and contractors
* Understanding engineering and operational KPIs and identifying improvement areas
* Interacting with on-shift engineers and site engineering teams to resolve equipment issues
* Supporting the development of maintenance plans to improve asset performance
* Coordinating OEM engineer visits and scheduling follow-up work
* Overseeing equipment calibrations and reviewing PUWER assessments to ensure compliance
