Job Title: Multi-drop Delivery Driver
Reports to: Transport Manager
Hours of work: 40-hour week – flexible (Additional hours may be required)
Town & Country Fine Foods is an established national supplier of premium products for Fine Dining, Pastry and Hospitality in the UK.
The business views the Operations and Customer Services Departments as key planks in its continuing growth; to be successful we must provide outstanding customer service every day and for every delivery.
Purpose of the Role: The role of a driver is to deliver our products to customers, while ensuring they meet the expectation and needs of customers, in accordance with company procedure and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Efficiently and effectively deliver and/or collect, goods to or from customers.
* Ensure all paperwork is correctly signed and corresponds to the goods either being delivered or collected. Returning all signed documents to the accounts department. (All deliveries, must be signed for by an employee of the customer. The person signing for the goods must also print their name if this is not obvious from the signature)
* Ensure you are accessible via telephone up to at least 4.00pm each day, that way you can be advised of any changes to the following days run and help Telesales with any queries which may arise from your day.
* Timely and accurate completion of delivery notes and goods returned documentation.
* Safe and proper use of all vehicles, equipment and materials in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations.
* Conduct daily vehicle inspections and complete check sheets.
* Basic maintenance and level checks of vehicles as instructed and or required.
* Maintain vehicles in a clean and serviceable condition as per cleaning schedule
* Attend staff meetings and product training as required.
* Continual develop knowledge of run and product information and operational procedures.
* Behave in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
* Any other ad hoc duties requested by the Transport Manager
Person Specification
Professional / Technical Qualifications
* Full UK Driving Licence
Experience & Job Knowledge
* Professional driving experience
* 5 years multi-drop experience required

* Comfortable talking to customers
* Ability to work well under pressure

* Ability to work and relate to people at all levels

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
