Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit an excellent Pastoral Manager to lead the overview of students’ attendance for an identified cohort with a view to continual improvement and the removal of barriers.
Pastoral Manager
1. Location – Liverpool, L19
2. Type of work – Long term
3. Start date – As soon as possible
4. Full time/part time – Full time
5. Hours – 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Responsibilities:
6. Work with the AHT (Attendance & Admissions) and other pastoral staff to ensure the implementation of the attendance and punctuality strategy.
7. Ensure a smooth day to day operation of attendance and absence monitoring for a specific cohort of students.
8. To complete Home Visit welfare checks for students with flagging attendance concerns.
9. To undertake regular student voice activities and take necessary action on feedback.
10. To ensure all students display positive behaviour and learning behaviours
11. To contribute to the effective operational activities, including attendance at meetings, events and activities as required.
12. To lead, support and encourage the highest possible standards of behaviour, learning, attainment and achievement.
13. Monitor the effectiveness of absence interventions in place to support students across the identified cohort.
14. Liaise, as appropriate, with internal / external stakeholders and outside agencies.
15. Promote parent / carers engagement with regards to positive attendance amongst the identified cohort of students.
To be eligible:
16. Previous experience working with children
17. Hold Right to Work in the UK
18. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
19. Provide at least two professional references covering at least 24 months/cover the last 2 years
