Job Description
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing logistics activities including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Duties Include-
•Coordinate and manage transportation of goods from suppliers to customers.
•Work with suppliers and carriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
•Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy of inventory data
•Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements
•Work closely with the Operations to understand the activity forecast and ensure the job requirements are met
•Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of goods
•Prepare shipping and export documentation as required
•Assist with customs compliance and regulatory requirements
•Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
•Maintain accurate records and files
•Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and optimize logistics performance
•Work towards improving the efficiency of the department
•Maintain good working relationships with Suppliers
•Create POs for procuring tools from Suppliers.
•Create FMS Shipping Tickets for shipments to rigs
•On call responsibilities as per scheduled rota
•Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by Materials & Logistics Manager
Desired Qualities/Qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalent
•1-2 years of experience in logistics coordination, transportation, or related field
•Knowledge of transportation regulations, logistics practices, and inventory management
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with any logistics management software
•Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
•Strong communication skills, including verbal, written and nonverbal communication
•Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
