Overview

Content Development Officer — Central London, SW1P (with hybrid working opportunities)

The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) is an independent charity dedicated to breaking the link between family income and educational achievement. We support schools, colleges and nurseries to improve teaching and learning through better use of evidence. We generate research evidence on effective practice in supporting learning outcomes and narrowing the socioeconomic attainment gap, and we work with education professionals to ensure this evidence is applied to achieve the maximum possible benefit for children and young people.

We are now looking for a Content Development Officer to join us on a full-time basis for an 18-month fixed-term contract with the strong possibility of becoming permanent, subject to future funding decisions.

The Benefits

* Salary of £33,750 per annum
* Flexible working opportunities
* 27 days’ holiday a year (plus 8 bank holidays including 3 which can be taken flexibly)
* 2 festive season closure days
* 6% employer pension contributions, minimum 3% employee contribution
* Life insurance cover
* Interest-free season ticket loan and cycle scheme
* Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave pay (conditions apply)
* Confidential Employee Assistance Programme to help you deal with any personal and professional problems

This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and creative individual with a flair for producing engaging content to join our forward-thinking and impactful organisation. You’ll turn complex research into accessible resources that help teachers and schools make a real difference in children’s lives and be part of a globally respected organisation shaping best practice.

The Role

As a Content Development Officer, you will support the planning, development, and organisation of media and digital content that helps educators access and apply evidence in practice.

Specifically, you will help plan, curate and deliver high quality media products including videos, podcasts, blogs and case studies, ensuring they are accurate, engaging and accessible across early years, schools and post 16 networks.

You will also provide logistical and administrative support for the Research Schools Network and liaise with colleagues across the organisation to ensure the smooth delivery of projects and timely communications.

Additionally, you will:

* Support project management to ensure content reflects the evidence base
* Assist with engagement activity and user testing
* Liaise with the Regional Delivery team to update the Research Schools Network
* Work with the Communications team on co-ordination and promotion
* Stay informed of new EEF guidance reports and developments

About You

To be considered as a Content Development Officer, you will need:

* Relevant work experience, for example providing logistical and administrative support in an organisation or school
* Proven experience of handling multiple tasks simultaneously and delivering high volumes of work to a high standard
* Experience with MS Office (Excel and Word) and confidence with digital tools such as Google Drive, Teams, and Zoom
* A track record of supporting complex initiatives and project management
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships
* A genuine interest in education, equity, and supporting the development of school-facing resources
* Willingness to travel nationally and stay overnight occasionally

Please note, all applicants must already have the right to work in the UK, as we regret this role does not qualify for a Skilled Worker visa.

All EEF staff are subject to a check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The level of check which will apply shall be a “Basic” level check.

Applications close: 17 September 2025

First round interviews: 24 September 2025
