Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Specialist SEND Teacher to join our team, supporting post‑16 learners in an inclusive and nurturing environment. You will play a crucial role in helping students develop essential life and academic skills, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons for students with SEND
* Use innovative strategies to support learning, emotional regulation, and communication development
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
* Provide a safe, inclusive, and structured environment where students can thrive
* Contribute to personalised learning plans, EHCP reviews, and progress tracking
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for someone with experience working with post‑16 learners with SEND, particularly in SEMH or Language & Communication. A qualified teacher status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent is required. The ideal candidate will have a compassionate and resilient approach to teaching and behaviour support, a strong understanding of differentiated learning and assistive communication strategies, and a commitment to fostering independence and preparing students for adulthood.
