Head of Partnerships and Development
Location: Flexible / Hybrid
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: 35 hours per week (full-time)
Contract: 1-year fixed-term
Our client is a registered local charity supporting voluntary and community sector (VCS) groups in Ealing for over 30 years and Hounslow since 2012.
The Role
The Head of Partnerships and Development will lead partnership building, consortia development, fundraising, volunteering, and infrastructure support across Ealing and Hounslow. This strategic role oversees the Volunteer Centre, manages infrastructure support services, and coordinates Voice Networks. The postholder will lead fundraising and sponsorship initiatives and manage the Volunteer Manager and Funding & Group Development Manager to ensure integrated delivery across volunteering, capacity building, and community development.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and sustain partnerships across voluntary, statutory, health, and corporate sectors.
* Develop and coordinate consortia for joint programmes and collaborative funding.
* Represent the organization in strategic forums, influencing local policy and system change.
* Provide strategic leadership for the Volunteer Centre.
* Secure funding and sponsorship for volunteering infrastructure.
* Promote inclusive volunteering opportunities to enhance health, wellbeing, and community resilience.
* Manage the Volunteer Manager to ensure quality service delivery.
* Lead infrastructure support services, including training, governance, funding advice, and organizational development.
* Develop partnerships and funding opportunities to support voluntary groups.
* Ensure services are sector-led, responsive, and strategically aligned.
* Manage the Funding & Group Development Manager to support VCS delivery.
* Manage and coordinate Voice Networks to influence policy, represent underrepresented voices, and generate sector insights.
* Integrate learning into strategic planning and program design.
* Identify and pursue new income streams, including grants and corporate sponsorships.
* Lead collaborative funding bids with partners and consortia.
* Build and maintain relationships with funders, sponsors, and donors.
* Provide supportive management to the Volunteer Manager and Funding & Group Development Manager.
* Foster an inclusive, high-performance team culture.
* Support professional development and cross-team collaboration.
* Oversee evaluation frameworks and produce reports, case studies, and impact summaries for stakeholders.
* Promote continuous learning and improvement across teams.
Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in partnership development, stakeholder engagement, and cross-sector collaboration.
* Proven leadership in volunteering and infrastructure support services.
* Successful track record in fundraising, sponsorship, and collaborative bids.
* Strong people management and leadership skills.
* Deep understanding of the voluntary and community sector, especially in diverse urban communities.
